Naturally he had read up on the Joker, all case files, the reports on his arrest and trial, even the information given to him by the doctors here at Arkham. It wasn't particularly enlightening on any front, other than how it cemented his belief that the Joker wasn't insane. Not in the conventional sense. He knew exactly what he was doing. Chaos might have been the goal, but the planning had been meticulous. He wouldn't underestimate him.
So now the important first step was to prove himself worthy of his attention. He was nervous, but it was the good kind of nervousness. A challenge, a thrill. Just what he'd been looking for.
...Right. So they were going down this route. There had been a lot of wise asses who had visited him, and while the Joker was conversational, he wasn't really keen on talking until there was something of even the slightest bit of interest. But this wasn't it. It was obvious enough that Eddie was trying to get some sort of conversation going between the two of them, but this just wasn't the route to take. Right now, it was just him sitting in a room with some insignificant party.
"Um. Eddie." He muttered, not even twitching the slightest bit as he spoke. "Like the little dog from Frasier." Not only did the two share names, they seemed to be equally annoying thus far. "If you, uh, think that trying to be cute is going to get me to...open up or something..."
He shifted around in his seat the slightest bit, cocking his head to one side. There really wasn't much more to say after that.
